Where amazing does not happen

So, the NBA regular season is FINALLY ending.  Did anyone else notice that only 3 of the 16 playoff teams differ from last season?  That’s right – only Chicago, Miami, & Portland played their way out of last year’s lottery, replacing Washington, Toronto, & Phoenix.
The other 11 teams counting ping-pong balls last spring (Charlotte, Indiana, Milwaukee, New Jersey, New York, Golden State, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis, Minnesota, Oklahoma City, & Sacramento) all will find themselves in the exact same location on May 19th when the draft lottery determines this year’s first round draft order.

So after a pointless regular season that offered very little in the way of interesting storylines (and a lock MVP in LeBron James), leave it to Steve Aschburner of SI.com to come up with his list of alternative NBA awards

Great stuff here – my favorite has to be his First Man Award winner, Allen Iverson.

Congrats, AI – you’ve earned it!
