Football Factories

If you’ve been with us for a while, you know that we are always up for a well-done list.

Today’s version is actually a three-fer from CollegeFootballNews.com.

Based on college production alone (since 1970), Pete Fiutak at CFN has compiled a list of the Top 20 Quarterback Schools, the Top 25 Running Back Schools, and the Top 20 Wide Receiver Schools.

Some interesting choices here along with some great analysis and a rundown of some of the top individuals representing those positions at each of the schools.

While it’s certainly not surprising to see a school like USC dominate the rankings (#1 RB, #2 WR, & #3 QB), it’s interesting to see the rationale for the cases made for #1 QB school Oklahoma or #1 WR school Michigan

And for those of you who want to factor in professional production, Richard Cirminiello at CFN offers his lists of Top 15 QB Schools, Top 15 RB Schools, and Top 15 WR Schools to provide a competing perspective.

Ultimately, great fodder for anyone needing a college football fix in this dark period between spring practice and the start of training camp in August.

Hang in there – scenes like this will be coming to a stadium near you sooner than it seems:
